Dora Dillistone, untitled

Large dark clouds of deep greens and blues form the outer edges of the watercolor. The background is fire-colored, smoldering at the edges. The center is a hot gold and paler green. It is dated in a box at the upper right: 08 06 1945 0815, the time of the bombing of Hiroshima. This is one of a series of large watercolors on the subject of fire.
