R.C. Gorman, Tonto Pot (State I)

Seated Indian woman shown in profile wearing her hair in a butterfly bun, clothed in a reddish blanket and a white skirt. She is seated with her knees bent and her legs crossed. Placed next to the figure is a large polychrome pueblo pot with a piece missing from the rim. The background is in neutral gradations of pastel yellow with shaded areas beneath the figure.
