John DePuy, River Flow

Curving to the right, a black horizontal line is mid- center of the watercolor. Above this horizon is a brown mountain form and above that three shades of yellow forms mimic the shape of the hills. Flowing towards the right, off the bottom right of the work and emanating from the mountain are black curved lines. Brown and orange rock forms interrupt the lines. Though abstract, expressionist, the painting is land based.
