The surface is broken up into twelve bands of blue horizontals, six light blue and six darker blue. The blues have a sense of space from the layering of thinned paint, as though there is a subtle movement beneath the surface. Five thin bands of white break up the pairs of blue bands while graphite lines define the edges of each band. The amount of horizontals on the surface give a sense of energy to the piece, while the pattern allows for you to continue the essence of the piece beyond the edges of the canvas.
