Agnes Martin, Untitled (Ordinary Happiness)

Five horizontals of white along with six smaller bands of light blue create a pattern on the surface of the canvas. The colors are defined into their bands by straight graphite lines that help to emphasize the calculated geometric quality of the work. The dominance of white along with a light blue is like looking at snow reflecting the blue of the sky on a cool winter day. - Maranda Nieman
